Postdoctoral fellowship in Food Technology. Application deadline: August 4, 2026.
Agência FAPESP – The Biotechnological Platform for Healthy Ingredients (PBIS) has an open postdoctoral opportunity in food technology. The application deadline is next Tuesday (August 4).
PBIS is a Problem-Oriented Research Center in the State of São Paulo (NPOP-SP), linked to FAPESP's Science for Development Centers Program (CCDs), and headquartered at the Institute of Food Technology (Ital), in Campinas. The NPOP is based on the public-private partnership model, bringing together universities, research institutions, government agencies and companies.
The project is carried out at the Food Science and Quality Center of the Institute of Food Technology (CCQA-Ital).
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in food engineering, chemical engineering or a related field; have experience in food processing and in the development of powdered food ingredients involving particulate systems (drying, fluidized-bed agglomeration, high-shear and steam agglomeration), as well as in the development of food ingredients and products at pilot scale; experience in physicochemical, technofunctional and nutritional analyses; and knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis.

The postdoctoral opportunity is open to both Brazilian and foreign candidates. The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of R$ 12,570.00 and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship, to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
