FAPESP News Agency – A postdoctoral opportunity in environmental science, environmental management, and territorial planning, with a fellowship funded by FAPESP, is available through the project Enhancing Pluriversality for a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA). Applications are open until July 21.

The project is being carried out at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of the University of São Paulo (EACH-USP).

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in environmental management, territorial planning, environmental sciences, social sciences, geography, law, or a related field. Required qualifications include demonstrated experience in Nature-based Solutions and climate-related research, qualitative research methods, and fieldwork; proficiency in conducting semi-structured interviews, participatory workshops, and data systematization; experience with qualitative data analysis using NVivo, Atlas.ti, or equivalent software; strong academic writing and report preparation skills; availability for field activities in the Baixada Santista region; and the ability to read academic texts in English.

The postdoctoral fellowship is open to both Brazilian and international applicants. The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of R$ 12,570.00, in addition to a Technical Reserve of 10% of the annual fellowship amount to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to research activities. If the selected postdoctoral fellow resides outside the city where the host institution is located and needs to relocate, they may also be eligible for a relocation allowance.
